Dance Dialogues

In the intimacy of the Marjorie Branson Performance Space, live music joins new choreography with some of the Southland's most celebrated artists.

Music Without Borders: Ming Tsu

Acclaimed pianist Ming Tsu is collaborating with chamber music friends to present new works by prominent young contemporary composers from Asia, Europe and the U.S.

Renaissance

Recapture a moment in time from an age of innocence when singing was an interactive communal experience. This street corner

a cappella quintet creates an imaginative and nostalgic sound track of favorite memories.

Tom Peters, contrabassist and composer

Celebrate Halloween with a screening of the 1920 German expressionist classic "Der Golem: Wie er in die Welt kam" (The Golem: How He Came into the World) on a digitally restored print with live score employing improvisation and computer electronics by Tom.

     

October 26, 7pm
Joe La Barbera Quintet

Regarded by his peers as a superb musical drummer and a supportive accompanist, Joe and his band bring their superb jazz to Boston Court.

     
 

November 1, 8pm
Quarteto Nuevo

Rhythmically driving, gracefully melodic, always inspiring, this intriguing group fuses Jazz with World Music, played by superb musicians adept at execution and improvisation.

     
 

November 2, 7pm
John Schneider Plays the Classics

Internationally recognized guitarist, composer, author and broadcaster, John will be performing music by Bach and other 19th and 20th century composers.

     

November 8, 8pm
Susan Svrcek, piano and Susan Jensen, violin

The two Susans collaborate in a very personal program of old and new classics and rare repertoires which they delight in exposing to audiences.

Larry Karush & Friends
